Infrastructure experience in supporting Cognos 8.2 in a Windows environment
Infrastructure experience in support CRN in a Linux/Websphere environment
Experience in upgrading Cognos (PowerPlay, PowerPlay reports, Impromptu, IWR) from 7.4 to 8.2
Ability to train employees with less experience
Experienced with JAVA code
Experienced with XML code
Experienced with SOAP code
Capable of analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving various hardware, network and application issues
Capable of writing and debugging Batch, PERL, Unix Scripts
Experienced with Windows and Unix tools for monitoring and tuning
Capable of developing Cognos SDK packages using one of the following tools (RAD, NetBeans, JAVA, .NET, Visual Basic)
Excellent communication skills
Familiar with Windows and Linux server hardware and operating system configurations
Familiar with the use of and debugging of database connectivity issues (DB2, UDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Access)
Takes initiative in solving problems. Doesn't need to be told what to do.
