No H1's this is a full time position.
Must be local to TX.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues..
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to basic SQL Server processes in a production environment.
Must be able to work without supervision.
Scope of Job:
Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
Ensure that DBs are running optimally.
Preform regularly scheduled maintenance such as backups, re-indexing, replication testing and recovery.
Test existing and future sql code for optimization.
Determine db growth requirements.
Skills Required:
The Candidate will need administrative knowledge MS SQL Server 2005 ** tuning, transact replication, backups, user, group roles, and pl/sql.
A good working knowledge of MS Server 2003 and Active Directory are also important.
Responsibility:
The ensure that all production SQL Server 2005 are running optimally.
Ensure DB are properly backed up. Monitor capacity and plan for future growth.
Work Hours:
Work hours are based on a flexible schedule due to nationwide client base.
Overtime is required as necessary.
