Description : |
| |
Responsible for the operational support of server infrastructure,
including operating system installations, patching, upgrades to both
hardware and operating system. Assembling and racking server equipment
and providing break fix solutions to production hardware.
. Responsibilities will include ensuring servers are kept operational
and keeping service impacting outages to a minimum. May include
operational engineering, operations standards development, and vendor
contact for replacement parts. Monitor servers to minimize or avoid
business impacting outages or disruptions.
. Team with peer groups in delivering IT services to the firm as
defined by management
. Subject matter expert in server hardware and operating systems, SAN
technology, and virtual server technology.
. Work with application ownersgroups to ensure proper builds and
function of the server infrastructure.
. Maintain internal staff documents for build procedures to provide
uniform, compliant servers for production implementation.
. Develop documentation for maintenance procedures for server
infrastructure.
. Review operations and business requirements for projects pertaining
to the server infrastructure with all project teams, management and
client services groups for deployment and ongoing operations support.
