The Exchange Server Engineer will be responsible to Manage and implement the Client **s hosted mail and messaging system (Microsoft Exchange2003/2007) and domain architecture; Migrating email systems from GroupWise, Lotus Notes, Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003 and Send Mail to Exchange 2003 hosted environment; Design implementations of Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 in a complex environment for other agencies/entities adding to the rapidly expanding domain of 30,000 users; Perform upgrades, backup/recovery, security, virus protection, spam protection, registry, active directory, editing, system implementation, performance monitoring and problem solving for project execution in a large, complex environment, strategic planning, functional management, and deployment of client software for mail migrations. Additional duties will include; Development and coordination of training and service delivery for the Exchange messaging system; *Due to the necessary technical support duties of this position, candidates may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or evening shifts and report to various agency locations .
Responsibilities will also include: create, manage and update the existing Exchange/AD systems, disaster recovery and related documentation;
The preferred candidate should possess the following:
At least eight (8) years experience as a lead Microsoft Exchange administrator; In-depth knowledge of messaging systems, system administration and architecture expertise; Advanced Exchange 2003/2007, Active Directory, documentation and overall Windows OS skills; At least three (3) years experience administrating a clustered, high availability Exchange environment; Experience in a large, geographically dispersed environment; |
