One of our clients at Manhattan, NY is looking for SQL Developer/DBA and with 6+ years of total IT experience.
Skills Required:
The Database Administrator/Developer is responsible for maintaining the stability, scalability, behavior, security, and performance of our MS SQL Server environments, including both SQL 2000 and SQL 7 servers.
The Data Administrator responsibilities included performance tuning, monitoring, and generating reports adhoc/automated
Description:
Focus is 70% development and 30% DBA. Most important criteria for this position: T-SQL, Communication skills, Architecting ability and problem solving skills.
Key duties:
* Work with Project Managers and Business Units to understand business requirements thoroughly.
* Analyze project functional data requirements, data relationships, and attributes, resulting in data flows, program structures, hardware needs, outputs and other appropriate deliverables for the projects
* Maintain the stability, scalability, behavior, security, and performance of our MS SQL Server environments, including both SQL 2000 and SQL 7 servers.
* Responsible for database integrity and backups and for insuring the availability of databases to all users in a 24/7 environment
* Maintain a detailed understanding of the company's various DB Schema
* Write stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and ETL packages to create data transformations for import, export and reporting purposes.
* Perform the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of various reporting processes related to internal needs using Crystal Reports and other appropriate reporting tools.
* Assists Desktop and Server engineers and end users with deployment, installation, and configuration of software
* Document applications and perform user training
* Help Generate automated and adhoc reports for Business Units.
* Any Open source exp is a plus.
* Any previous mailing exp is a plus.
