| |
Develop and lead updates to Regional reliability compliance program jointly with other ERCOT staff, NERC staff and market participants. Ensure that all program requirements are valid, measurable concerns for grid reliability. See that measurement processes are fair and can be administered consistently.
Communicate program requirements to ERCOT market participants through informational meetings, website postings, and other means. Make and maintain contact lists for compliance purposes.
** Review postings of NERC Standards, Policies and related material for impact on the compliance program, and participate in NERC compliance groups.
** Gather necessary data from the appropriate ERCOT group or ERCOT data source for compliance monitoring and assessment. Prepare or arrange for processing of data as needed to complete assessments, and verify that collected information is suitable for evaluation of entity performance. Recommend improvements when appropriate.
** Lead assessments (audits, investigations, periodic reviews) required for reliability issues. Establish level of non-compliance when necessary, determine penalties, track mitigation plans, and participate in dispute resolution.
** With ERCOT staff and stakeholder groups, prepare Regional responses to NERC inquiries.
