large communications company has an immediate need for a Database
Administrator to install, maintain, and monitor multiple production
Oracle databases. Oracle database administration in large-scale
application environment (9i and/or 10g). Experience with
database-related design of enterprise disk subsystems a plus. Develop
scripts, manage backup and recovery of production databases. Perform
database tuning and performance analysis. Familiar with UNIX, shell
scripting and cron jobs. Experience with Veritas products.
Understanding of IP networks, dictionary tables and views. Act as 24x7
support for production database issues.
