Our client, a premier Direct Marketer/eCommerce Giant, is seeking a seasoned Technical Writer to author numerous development, operations and end-user documents.
Requirements:
. At least 5+ years of professional experience writing, editing and maintaining technical documentation for Fortune 500 clientele;
. Must have demonstrated expereince creating applications development documenation, as well as systems operations guides, end-user guides, FAQs and Help Desk recovery documents and scripts;
MUST have excellent oral and written communiction skills;
. Previous experience with UML is HIGHLY desired;
. Must have previous experience developing documentation for Java/Unix/Web based systems (ideal candidates will have an understanding of RDBMSs, Spring/Hibernate, J2EE, ATG and Struts)
. Previous professional experience as a Software Developer would be a PLUS
. Previous experience within an eCommerce environment is a PLUS
Position will be based in Long Island, but occasional travel to client's development center in Midtown New York will be required. Candidates selected for interview will be asked to present samples of documents they have authored.
