Description : |
| |
** Must demonstrate a high level of competence and understanding of SQL Server 2000/2005 architecture, database design best practices, and experience with Enterprise level systems.
** Define and implement appropriate SQL Server database administrative best practices across all SQL Server systems. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a database system in a Microsoft environment Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
** Manage current SQL Replication processes and enhance/improve as per need.
** Maintain a working knowledge of programming techniques, including; architecture, connectivity, programming languages and tools which have been adopted as the standards. Knowledge of C#/.NET database integration methods would be helpful.
** Review exiting database architectures and recommend changes to improve/optimize database performance. Coordinate scheduling of maintenance tasks needed to ensure database availability and optimization.
** Help define and develop performance tuning methodologies for the database team utilizing Microsoft Performance Tools and/or Third-party vendor tools.
** Work with third party vendors to assess, implement, and customize database installations to meet business requirements.
