| |
Creating and maintaining client/server database environments in SQL
Server 2000 & 2005.
- Installing SQL Server and related service packs.
- Setting up and troubleshooting issues with replication (merge,
transactional, snapshot).
- Performing database backup and recovery. Planning backup policies.
Monitoring backup jobs, testing backups periodically and maintaining
consistent backup plans.
- Managing and troubleshooting SQL server in a clustered / multiple
server environment. Setting up multiple instances of SQL and
troubleshooting issues with a cluster.
- Planning and maintaining database and data security.
- Coordinating, planning and performing maintenance and upgrades for
all related databases.
- Developing diagnostics and disaster recovery plans in order to
safeguard the integrity of the database.
- Supporting and implementing database migrations across environments.
- Analyzing current databases, server, infrastructure and architecture
and recommending methods to improve performance of the database.
- Implementing monitoring and scheduling systems for SQL jobs and
processes.
- Implementing database standards and procedures across multiple
environments.
- Maintaining an inventory of all servers and databases.
- Experience with tools for monitoring, scheduling, performance tuning
& backup.
