| |
This position is within the ITIS GCS organization to provide UNIX, Enterprise Storage, and Infrastructure Services support. The IT Systems Engineer will maintain technical operations of approx 60 HP-UX networked servers and EMC DMX storage frames, as well as managing a Brocade Fibre Channel infrastructure. HP Superdome and HP ServiceGuard experience required. An IT Systems Engineer may develop scripts, tools, or applications for System Administration, database and applications, data management, automation, performance and capacity monitoring, preventive maintenance, disaster recovery and security. They apply knowledge of hardware, software, and systems applications, gathered from technical users, to develop and implement programs, including procurement and installation. They are responsible for assuring system operations metrics, development metrics, and quality metrics through adherence to organizational quality standards and procedures. The IT Systems Engineer may also be required to participate in 24/7 On-call rotation schedules.
Knowledge required: HPUX System Administration. Superdome Hardware experience. HP ServiceGuard. EMC DMX with Timefinder/SRDM scripting experience. Prefer knowledge of Networking and IT Security under HP-UX. |
