| |
** Primary responsibilities will include working knowledge of VPN technology supporting both Nortel Contivity and the Juniper Networks SSL Secure Access products.
** Should have a full understanding of both the XP and Vista operating system and general security.
** Will work with desktop configurations such as personal firewalls and Anti Virus products.
** Need to have operational understanding of both standard networking protocols as well as VPN protocols such as IPSec and SSL.
** Will be required to monitor the operation of the remote access networks and systems ensuring the proper functioning of lines, hardware, and software.
** Required to identify and resolve complex network / desktop problems utilizing structured troubleshooting methods, techniques, and tools.
** Will participate with vendor and common carriers during problem analysis/resolution.
** Prepare and maintain technical specifications and documents, drawings, system documentation and operating manuals.
** Participate in the evaluation of vendor proposals and the benefits of changes in hardware, software and other technologies in the remote access environment.
** Will need to possess some project management skills as well as strong soft skills in both written and verbal communication.
** Will need to have a strong understanding of the Cisco family of networking products |
