| |
Strong systems administrator:
At least 3 to 5 years experience in Windows, VMWARE and Linux with knowledge of Active Directory implementation
Primary requirements:
Primary requirement is strong Windows administration background with demonstrated ability to install, upgrade and support Applications Development on Windows servers
Ability to support VMWARE, Linux, SQL Server are preferred.
O/S Installation: Windows, VMWARE operating systems; upgrades to operating systems, service packs, installations and upgrades to service packs, security patch updates.
Other software: Infrastructure products such as Symantec Antivirus, SQL Server and Netbackup * installation, support and upgrades.
Environment:
Mix of Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers, Netware servers and VMWARE servers
VMWARE servers using VMWARE 3.0.X and 3.5 with VMWARE first installed in 2002. Over 120 VM*s.
Projects include: Migration to VMWARE 3.5; Active Directory; CA Directory installation and support for large LDAP project.
Approximately 270 servers * mix of Windows, VMWARE, Netware, SUSE Linux
Team: 4 people (including the consultant being hired).
Location: Lake Success.
Server locations: Primarily in Lake Success, NY.
Travel: Twice annually to Sterling Forest, NY for a backup/recovery test.
Required: Will need to be on call and provide services off normal business hours |
