| |
Assist in organizing, planning, scheduling and overseeing of the day-to-day ongoing maintenance and support of King County**s enterprise network.
- Working closely with the Network Engineering Supervisor to provide daily maintenance and support of the network and management of the Network Engineering and Support group, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting and meeting deadlines.
- Assist in developing and directing program and project plans, defining and overseeing implementation.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technical staff to assess King County**s network needs and requirements, recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
- Assist in overseeing the validation, engineering and maintenance documentation for all new, existing and proposed transport, switch and collocation and other auxiliary facilities and hardware to ensure ready access to network configuration data. Maintain accurate documentation and records of network hardware/software configurations and topologies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed.
