| |
Reporting to the Manager of Databases & Business Intelligence, the
Lead System Integrator & Business Intelligence specialist (a.k.a. BI
Lead) will provide application support services to internal clients
and business units. Under limited supervision, the BI Lead will plan,
design, develop, test, coordinate, implement, support and enhance
business intelligence and reporting applications spanning finance,
accounting, supply chain, mining operations, production planning, and
human resources. Applications will be developed following defined
quality and process guidelines, or in the absence of them, the BI lead
will develop quality and process guidelines. This position will work
with Client's business units and others within the Corporate
Information Services Group (CIS) to research and determine business
and systems requirements to address a wide range of complex business
issues. The incumbent will advise clients on technical issues and
develop technical and end-user operating instructions and procedures.
Additionally, this position will analyze and develop process
improvements and coordinate work efforts with other CIS functions to
deliver integrated solutions. This position will exercise technical
expertise in multiple areas, and may lead a team of BI developers,
providing technical and management guidance including project
management responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform
management functions in the absence of the Manager. The BI lead is
expected to contribute at the highest level in all phases of the
application development lifecycle.
1. Design, develop and deliver data warehouse business intelligence
solutions utilizing BusinessObjects and Teradata; Gather business
requirements, create designs based on target database designs and
business data requirements, assess implementation alternatives and
formulate overall design approaches; development, test and implement
