Description : |
| |
Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Load, import, and transform large volumes of administrative claims
data.
-Develop SSIS/DTS packages, stored procedures and SQL scripts to
automate functions and processes.
-Produce analysis datasets based on provided specifications using SQL
programming language.
-Conduct data quality checks
-Perform ad-hoc queries and provide customized reports based on the
longitudinal patient database according to internal and external
requests using SQL server, Excel and Access.
Requirements:
-Strong data management skills will be handling large volumes of
health plan administrative claims data.
-Ability to migrate databases across servers and reorganize databases
for optimum performance and maintenance.
-Demonstrated proficiency in Transact-SQL language and have experience
using MS SQL Server 2000 & 2005, including use of SQL Server 2005
Integration Services, query analyzer, stored procedures, and SSIS, SQL
Loader.
-Experience with all database administration activities
-Monthly load processing/automation
-Monitoring and tuning of SQL Server 2005
-Security assigning user rights, roles, object and system privileges
-Use of stored procedures and SQL scripts to maintain all databases
-Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Access.
-Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Strong written and oral communication skills (Small group/environment
this is a key factor)
-Self motivated with ability to meet deadlines.
-Bachelors degree in computer science, or equivalent, with 3-5+ years
