Here is an opportunity to use your extensive understanding of the Java
Language for Middle-tier and Front-end development and modifications.
We are looking for someone that loves finding ways to make a Java
based application run better.
This team supports a web-based application that manages their clients
employee programs for credit card spending.
This client is very stable and has a shortage of Java developers and
plans to bring on this contract resource permanent in 2009. They have
a very flexible work environment for hours and working from home for
their permanent employees.
This is a position for someone with very strong Java language
programming skills.
Skills required: 4-5 years of Java web development using JSP, HTML,
Servlets, SQL database, Struts-like framework.
* Object oriented programming skills
* Strong experience with middle-tier and front-end development
* Understanding of algorithms and application optimization
* Three or more years JDBC/SQL experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of XML and related tools
* One or more years of JavaScript and DHTML experience
* Proven experience in implementing major customer-facing
functionality
* The ability to work as a member of a team and collaborate with peers
and team leads
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, Solid time management
skills
