Description : |
| |
Specific: Perform statistical analysis on genomic/proteomic data. Review the algorithms used by the The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) centers to derive at the level 2 or level 3 data analysis. Identify and develop other algorithms that can be used. Help with the basic analysis of the data.
General: Compiles, analyzes and reports statistical data for various projects including, but not limited to manual and computer-aided data abstraction and evaluation, and prepares data for publication and distribution. Applies advanced statistical methods, simulation models, and statistical programming as needed. Assesses relevant literature as well as existing data, evaluates the quality of data.
One to four years experience with mainframe and/or PC databases, document processing and statistical software in an academic or healthcare related setting. Desire experience in genomics, biology or other science.
MS in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or related field. Behavior Characteristics |
