| |
Required Solaris/Linux skills:
Candidate should have at least 3 years experience in the following platforms:
* Solaris 2.6 & 8
* Linux RHEL 3, 4, 5,
* HP-UX
Candidate should possess proficient skills in the below requirements
OS Level:
* Skilled with basic system administration concepts and tools such as: reboot, runlevel, shutdown, etc.
* Proficiency with standard shells, including sh/bash/ksh and csh/tcsh, including standard shell commands, environment variables, redirection, and basic shell scripting.
* Proficiency with file and directory concepts such as ownership, permissions, hard and soft links, etc. Also must be proficient with basic file manipulation commands such as chmod, chown, cp, dd, find, ln, mv, rm.
* Proficiency with process concepts and process monitoring and manipulation commands such as kill, nice, ps, ptree, top.
* Proficiency with basic network concepts and commands such as host, ifconfig, ifdown, ifup, netstat, nslookup, ping, traceroute.
* Proficiency with basic disk and filesystem related concepts and commands such as fdisk, format, mkfs, mount, umount |
