| |
Under general Network Security Project Manager supervision, this position will provide design, development, deployment, problem identification and remediation, and on-going support of the network. Work as member of network engineering team that designs and supports a Cisco certified design for web and point of sale e-commerce PCI DMZ.
This position will: Provide engineering planning, installation and configuration management support for the Cisco 3845 IRS routers and Cisco 5520 ASA firewalls protecting DMZ layers for the point of sale and web ecommerce environment. develop and /or validate firewall and IPS firewall designs, and implement Cisco NAC and IPSEC tunnels to switches that support POS terminals, where the interface transverses public WAN with other Government WANs; and , identify and correct any WAN/LAN hardware, software discrepancies, and provide the network engineering implementation and final production configuration; problem identification; and problem remediation.
Required Education/Skills:
Bachelor's degree and minimum of eight years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large WANs and LANs, of which at least five years of experience designing large WANs (over 100 sites). 12 years of professional experience with at least 8 years networking related experience will be considered in lieu of a 4 year degree. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills, be able to identify and resolve complex problems and issues arising from data communications and networking. Candidate must also have good interpersonal and communications skills in dealing with multiple contractor and structured organizations. Candidate must have an understanding and strong experience with Cisco NAC, IPSEC tunnels, IPS and FW modules as well as Cisco 5500 series firewall configuration and VPN site to site setup, specific experience implementing NAC from 3800 series routers to 2900 and 3700 series switches, and Cisco/Orion network management and monitoring tools.
