Description : |
| |
Install and configure database management system software.
Monitor and tune the database for improved performance.
Implement capacity planning for databases.
Serve in an administrative role regarding database privileges, security, and migration.
Create migration strategies for data.
Implement strategies to maintain efficient programs and develop strategies to test and enhance system performance.
Develop policies and procedures for system operations to better serve clients.
Present database management solutions to clients.
Installation of new DB2 subsystems on all UNIX and Linux platforms.
Keeping release and maintenance levels current.
Monitoring and reporting on DB2 subsystems as to performance and reliability.
Identifying, resolving and preventing DB2 subsystem problems.
Provide physical database design as well as participate in application and system architecture design.
Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
Provide professional guidance as to DB2 subsystem implementation and use.
Working with the customer to plan and implement all changes.
