They are looking for technologists who love to problems and are truly passionate about their work! Client has excellent stability as well. Both candidates will take part in the architecture and new development of state of the art web-crawlers. And they will need strong embedded web development experience including working with applications with embedded browsers and understanding of Browser Helper Object and Browser Addin/Plugin.
JOB #1: The project is to build a .NET application which will build the trainer component of a web crawler. This application will be used to identify data fields of interest on a web page, then to build extraction rules using XSLTs which can be executed by our back-end crawler. The trainer uses .NET 2005, C#, the WebBrowser control (IE - might be replaced by Firefox), XML/XSLT libraries and the Tidy "C" library. Ideally, the candidate will have worked on such a project in the past. At the very least, the person will need to be very familiar with web technologies, processes, and features, such as: C#, C/C++, HTML and the parsing of HTML (such as is done by browsers), XML, XSLT (must be able to write xslts using variables, loops, multiple templates) and JavaScript. Additionally, the candidate will need to have extensive knowledge of design patterns - especially the ones related to GUIs. Experience with IE (com) - or Firefox (xpcom/xulrunner) is a plus. Knowledge of C# managed/unmanaged memory is a plus. Windows networking skills especially related to building/maintaining a proxy is a plus.
