Microsoft SQL Server requirements:
1) Minimum 7 years of MSSQL DBA Experience.
2) Installing/Upgrading a SQL Server instances.
3) Experience in SQL 2000, SQL 2005 is necessary (SQL 2008 experience is a plus)
4) VBscript and Powershell scripting skills are required. Should be able to understand and maintain the existing scripts.
5) Database Performance Tuning skills,
6) Log shipping and Database Mirroring experience
7) Experienced in managing Cluster Servers
8) Excellent skills in database backup, replication, recovery, restoration, and Linked servers
9) Provided 24/7 supports for production
10) Be able to write standards, procedures, and guidelines
11) Good technical writing skills
12) Should have worked in a financial institution where the standard audit controls in use
13) Excellent communication skills
14) EMC experience
15) Should be self starter/learner.
