| |
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
* Work with reporting clients to improve performance and resolve issues
* Work as team member on major projects where Business Objects involvement is needed
* To build and maintain relationships with key contacts in the business (e.g. power users, key business team members)
* Explore new functionality within Business Objects product suite that could be used to improve reporting results
* Maintain up to date knowledge of Business Objects latest and best practice and other knowledge relevant to Business Intelligence solutions
* Travel to Client locations when requested to provide on-site guidance and support of Business Objects to local IS/Business team
* Lead/Expert performs work that is highly complex and varied in nature
* Develops integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues
* Recognized expert internally and externally within a discipline(s) and often provides strategic direction, guidance and integration of products and services
* May lead projects and provide guidance/training to more junior staff
The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of experience with the Business Objects development tools
* 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL server query language
* Understanding of fundamental and advanced concepts of the Business Objects XI development environment
* Design, creation and maintenance of complex linked universes
* Report development utilizing WebI and Crystal Reports
* Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server query language and database concepts |
