The primary skill required for this position is Microsoft Exchange server, Active Directory and SCOM. This is not for user support but for support for the actual server environment. Aditional skills that would be nice to have are SCCM, Citrix and VMware. A minimum of 5 years of experience is desired. Experience should be in a large environment. This position requires the ability to speak to customers, do troubleshooting under stressful circumstances, and liaison with account teams for the different customers. There are times when this position may be the most senior windows engineer on shift and so the candidate should be able to show that they can act accordingly. This means handling their own workload and helping less experienced staff with their work. This candidate for this position has three key characteristics: flexibility, reliability and accountability. The ability to work other shifts on occasion is necessary. Promptness is necessary because a transition to the next shift is necessary at the beginning and end of each shift.
This may be for either a day shift or a night shift with on-call ability.
