| |
The programmer will be responsible for writing kernel modules and device drivers for Linux that use shared memory to communicate with user space. The programmer will be responsible for writing shell commands to access the drivers and modules. We use ClearCase as our source repository and ClearQuest as our defect tracking, and experience with these tools is a plus.
Responsibilities Include:
* Participate in all phases of the firmware development process which includes:
o Creating functional and design specifications from high-level requirements.
o Implementing design specifications and unit testing.
o Ensuring successful system integration testing.
* Enhance and maintain existing product firmware.
Requirements:
* BS or MS degree of CE, CS, EE, or equivalent background.
* Demonstrated experience with software/firmware tools, development methodologies and development environments.
* Strong knowledge of OS fundamentals and experience with Real-Time/Multi-tasking operating systems.
* Experience with Linux, Linux device drivers, and Linux shared memory.
* Experience with source control and bug tracking software.
* Experience with network programming and protocols. IEEE 802.11 knowledge is a plus.
* Experience with SNMP is a plus.
* In-depth knowledge of C programming language.
* Strong problem solving skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, time-critical software environment.
* Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
* Must be self-motivated.
