| |
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or in a Health Care related field is required.
· Five (5) years in Cerner Clinical applications is required with a focus in PowerChart or FirstNet.
· Proficiency in the use of personal computer hardware and software packages to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Windows XP is required.
· Three (3) years experience managing large projects and/or implementations and working with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Broad knowledge of patient care/clinical delivery systems preferably those used by the Cook County Bureau of Health Services. Ability to work/troubleshoot with numerous software/hardware applications and their vendors. Knowledge of relational databases, database design, and software tools to support data analysis and reporting. Ability and follow through to work with outside departments to improve quality and accountability and patient safety. Ability to support/train less experience personnel in the uses of systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management skills and the ability to work with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced stressful environment. Skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and other software and hardware packages |
