or more years DBA experience
- Must have upgrade experience
- Experience supporting multiple medium to large size databases
- 3 or more years hands on experience with SQL
- Experience in supporting critical production infrastructure
* Excellent communication skills
* Responsible for implementing backup/restore policies for databases and archive logs.
- Evaluating and executing non-application initiated queries.
- Investigating and resolving all database crashes, failures, and unexpected behavior.
- Installation and support of DB2 software and patches.
- Planning and Execution of database maintenance, including Reorgs, Deletes
- Monitor capacities and utilization of database systems
- Work with Engineering to develop solutions to performance and availability problems. Helps identify underlying trends and production problems.
- Log calls in Call Tracking system, track, escalate, and close tickets as appropriate.
- Generate Bug reports, product enhancement requests, FAQ's, Field Change Notices, etc.
- Assist in the development of the Operations Knowledge Base and other e-support tools for use by internal teams
- 24x7 on-call support
