Candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, and relationship skills. Must be proficient with Cognos 8 suite of products including; Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Powerplay and Framework Manager. Cognos SDK is a strong plus. Candidate must be able to function independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and also a strong "A" team player and flexible to adapt as the project evolves.
Technical skills and abilities:
* 8 years minimum of Cognos experience / 10 years minimum of related IT experience
* Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills
* Strong data modeling skills (Normalized and Multidimensional for Data Marts, including Star Schema, Snow-Flake Modeling, Fact and Dimensional Modeling)
* Extensive knowledge in SQL programming / Store Procedures
* Knowledge and experience working with Relational Databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, UDB
* Experiencing implementing ETL
