Hiring Manger needs to provide a specific, precise and detailed description of what the requirements of the position are on a day to day basis.
The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for analysis, engineering, planning, and implementation of infrastructure related tasks. This position works closely with other engineers, analysts, and project managers both local and remote. It is mandatory that the candidate filling this position adhere to change control processes and work comfortably in that process. This will require a good understanding of the software development lifecycle, as well as the detailed operations of a hosting infrastructure.
This candidate must be able to accept work assignments and complete them on-time and within budget. Good troubleshooting skills are imperative to this position. Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Requirements:
•Troubleshoot problem with 3rd party and custom developed applications
•Support and be involved in operating system and middleware patching efforts
•Assemble documentation related to software and hardware environments
•Provide feedback and suggestions in a preventative and proactive manner when appropriate
•Write documentation that lead to engineering and research efforts
•Experience with relational database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2
•Working knowledge of .NET framework, IIS, Apache, and other web-based technologies
