May perform one or more of the following:
Designs and implements system requirements for customers and analyzes existing systems.
Installs and maintains midrange IBM AIX operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance; strong experience with AIX 5.3, 6.1; 3yrs+
Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Develops, tests, installs, and modifies computer software for operating systems, compilers, utilities, multiprogramming, and telecommunications systems.
Develops and installs programs for large-scale or high volume transactions requiring IBM AIX processing.
Develops and installs programs to support general business applications.
Develops scripts on midrange computers such as the IBM AIX-UNIX based midrange computers.
Evaluates, installs, configures HACMP for clustered systems; investigating and resolving cluster issues; strong AIX HACMP experience, 3yrs+
Plans upgrades for VIO, OS and HACMP, including documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection.
