| |
This position may be performed remotely/virtual.
- Translates internal billing documents to appropriate billing forms, payer source billing documents and payer source electronic files.
- Responsible for the accurate billing of charges for each assigned payer source according to established regulations and guidelines
- Responsible for processing claims to primary insurance and coordinating with clerical support on the preparation of secondary claims.
- Responsible for reviewing and correcting front end edits
- Obtaining supporting documentation (i.e., medical records, explanation of benefits, authorizations, referrals, etc.)
- Review, interpret and apply contractual terms.
- Assist with other duties as related to the special projects.
- Correct bills or rebill to Medicare and/or Medi-cal
