As manager and technical leader of the Internet team supporting a global Enterprise network, this position is responsible for Project Development, Network Operations and SLA Support in a challenging and dynamic business environment. The selected individual must demonstrate excellent customer service and team building skills.This leader will routinely interact directly with customer technical leaders, and will serve as a technical mentor within the team.This position operates in a 24x7x365 SLA-driven environment, requiring flexible work hours.
Specific Requirements:
· Demonstrated, in-depth, large Enterprise network engineering and support experience, with emphasis on complex Internet access services and facilities, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, etc.
· A proven leadership record of managing a team of engineers, handling multiple concurrent network technology projects and 24x7 operational support.
· A proven track record of staff development, aligned with technical initiatives.
· Experience managing vendor maintenance contracts and third-party support contracts.
· Experience in supporting complex WAN / LAN networks in a large, enterprise environment (change management, performance reporting, etc.)
· Superior knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco and Juniper routing hardware, software, protocols, etc., plus Bluesocket, Checkpoint, F5, Palo Alto and other pertinent product lines.
· Extensive experience with packet/protocol analyzers and network performance tools, to find and remedy application and network performance issues.
· Ability to work as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
· Positive, proactive, resourceful with a “can do” attitude and the ability to drive projects to completion.
· 7+ Years Internet / WAN / MAN / LAN Network Engineering is REQUIRED.
· Professional Experience at an Enterprise Level in Network solutions is REQUIRED.
· Router, Switch and IP Configuration Experience is REQUIRED |
