Job Summary: The Sr. Programmer will be a member of our Technology Development team. Assignments will range from fairly complex to very simple. This position will be responsible for mentoring other programmers on the team, working with business users, and embracing technology controls. The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual that has demonstrated past leadership experience as a project/team lead and has an established favorable track record of begin able to work well with the business community.
This position will report to dual-supervisors. The Technology Supervisor has HR-type responsibilities, and assigns priorities for technology type of work (i.e., work needed to ensure audit controls are met). The Business Department Supervisor assigns and prioritizes work needed to support the business units. A successful candidate will be able to handle working under dual supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Maintenance of existing MS Access MDBs * Development of new MS Access MDBs to enable the Department to be more efficient * Support for Month-End Processing (Will require some overtime and work on Saturday morning one Saturday per Month) * Interpret business requirements and translate it into a workable product * Anticipate business needs and suggest process improvements * Ability to act independently to solve problems and make decisions * Mentor programmers with less experience * Adhere to Technology processes, procedures and controls * Other duties as assigned
