Description : |
| |
Participate in production Oracle database 24x7 on call support.
• Plan and Lead database development and maintenance of databases including:
• design database environments and create databases
• design, develop, test, deploy and maintain database objects
• design, develop, test, deploy and maintain database security and audit solutions
• design, develop, test, deploy and maintain database recovery solutions
• execute data recovery
• manage database performance, capacity and availability
• DBMS SW implementation, upgrade, patching
• Use best practices, work plans, checklists and defined processes.
• Proactively support application teams. Perform SQL tuning.
• Provide advice on application data issues.
• Participate in project technical reviews. Lead work product reviews.
• Develop and maintain database support documentation.
• Monitor database environments. Proactively identify and prevent incidents.
• Take ownership of complex database incidents and problems, providing resolutions in a timely manner.
• Engage SMEs or vendors to provide assistance to resolve more complex incidents as required.
• Backup and Restore databases.
