| |
•The Clinical Informaticist designs and implements system solutions to improve health care services and the health of the patient.
•They provide expertise and support to highly visible, sensitive, and multi-faceted clinical projects and are responsible for the successful turnover of projects to production.
•The Clinical Informaticist works closely with the medical staff to incorporate workflows into system design and keeps current on new system functionality that will improve system acceptance and usage and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship.
•The position is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and support duties of clinical systems within the Clinical Information Systems department.
•Knowledge in fundamentals of hospital organization, management techniques, JCAHO, HIPAA and Title 22 requirements.
•Understanding of health care patient administration, clinical and business systems.
•Strong computer skills and experience with clinical information systems development and/or implementation.
