Title : Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) based transfer capability calculations in Deregulated power systems

Brief description of Project : The project deals with an approach to analyze the electricity transfer capability among different electricity markets using repeated power flow technique. Instead of minimizing the total cost as in the conventional problem, in this project, the transfer capability between two markets is maximized. To reduce the time required to compute transfer capabilities and also in order to take the advantage of the superior speed of artificial neural networks over conventional methods, the radial basis function network based approach has been developed in this work thus reducing costs significantly.
