Responsible for the first commercial release of UMTS (3G) access software to Vodaphone, Spain. Duties included writing the test plans and test cases for the access components, provisioning the new features introduced and executing test cases to demonstrate the functionality to the customer. This required interfacing with the software and hardware design groups for troubleshooting issues.
Managed the installation and the commissioning of the access side for one of the first 3G labs in USA. This lab made the first 3G voice and data call in the US and used for demonstrations. This lab is now used to demonstrate the features and capabilities of the 3G Nortel Networks access solution. The project was completed on time with fewer resources than promised.
