· Joined as an Assistant Manager in the Audit
Co-ordination Department. Within six months was given enhanced responsibilities & made Team Leader for Compliance & Controls Team.My Team handlles the Compliance team that ensures timely submission of all regulatory returns & MIS to top management
& the Reserve Bank of India.· Inward Remittances- In charge of the pre-transaction processing ofInward Remittance department for ensuring all the Monies sighted in our Nostro are credited to the
respective clients in proper time.- In Charge of the Award winning application (Application has won the Indian Banking Technology Award), which was further improved by me to put in better controls.- Monitoring of Unclaimed & the Unsettled credits not acted upon to avoid Interest Claims. · R-Returns & Regulatory Returns- Managing the Compilation & Submission of various statutory returns like R-returns, BEF & XOS statements submitted to
Reserve Bank of India for all the branches.-
Preparation & timely Submission of MIS & other reports to top management.- Liasoning with RBI or all queries raised by them. · Audit nd Process Controls for Operations -
Handling of Concurrent, Internal, Statutory,
Sarbanes Oxley, BS7799 and RBI Audits for the
Unit.- Finding out the key risk indicators in the rocesses and having adequate controls to keepthem in check.- Carrying on process audits to heck whether defined processes are being eligiously followed, identifying gaps in the ame, offering suggestions for improvements andreporting the findings to the management ·
In addition to the above I am also responsible
for the following - Designing
Controls for ensuring Bank has adequate Margin
against the Contingent Liabilities.
- Single point of contact for all Audit Issues
- In charge of the Billing Module for
the Bank under which the charges data for all the
clients is maintained. - Building
the Maker Checker Concept in Billing Module to
avoid updation errors. - Simplifying
the Billing Module to avoid misinterpretation of
Charges & hence incorrect levy of charges.
- Ensuring for monthly rebating & accrual
of income to accounts for recording the same in
B/S & P/L - Tracking the errors in
operations & implementing processes / controls to
reduce the same.
