The (-) Hydroxy citric acid is used as a
pharmaceutical drug, which neutralizes the fat content of the body, no side harmful effects,which is extracted from the Kokum fruit. The project involves process development for hot extraction using water as a solvent.

"Reduction of Iron (Fe) content in treated
effluent" in Biocon
The presence of iron in the treated effluent
spoils the reverse osmosis membrane, so it is
necessary to reduce the iron in treated effluent so the project was carried out to reduce the iron content. Different methods were found out.
