RH Donnelley Corporation is an advertising company providing businesses with affordable, effective advertising. Project was to design, develop, implement and maintain ETL components for the sales data mart to provide analytical information. A data Mart was built with sources including Oracle, and target database as Oracle.
Responsibilities:
„Ï Interacted with Business Analyst to understand the business requirements.
„Ï Created users/groups and folders using Repository Manager.
„Ï Extensively worked with Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer, Transformation Designer, Mapping Designer and Mapplet Designer.
„Ï Extracted Source Data using Informatica tools and Stored procedures from Source Systems.
„Ï Developed transformation logic and designed various Complex Mappings and Mapplets using the Designer.
„Ï Designed various mappings using transformations like LookUp, Router, Update Strategy, Filter, Sequence Generator, Joiner, Aggregator, and Expression Transformation.
„Ï Used Mapplets, Parameters and Variables to implement Object Orientation techniques and facilitate the reusability of code.
„Ï Developed and executed UNIX scripts as pre/post-session commands to schedule loads, through SQL-loader utility.
„Ï Configured and ran the Debugger from within the Mapping Designer to troubleshoot predefined mapping.
„Ï Extensively involved in Fine-tuning the Informatica Code (mapping and sessions), Stored Procedures, SQL to obtain optimal performance and throughput.

EquiFirst is one of the premier non-conforming wholesale mortgage lenders in the United States providing innovative mortgage products and fast closings to independent mortgage brokers throughout the country. Assigned as ETL Developer at EquiFirst to design, develop, and implement the ETL process to load the Products Data Mart, which helped generate Business Intelligence and Performance Management reports.

„Ï Involved in Installation of Informatica PowerCenter 6.2.
„Ï Involved in gathering requirements from business users.
„Ï Participated in the detailed requirement analysis for the design of data marts and star schemas.
„Ï Created Mappings using various transformations like Update Strategy, Lookup, Stored Procedure, Router, Joiner, Aggregator and Expression.
„Ï Designed many Multi Source Single Target mappings and vice versa.
„Ï Used Shell Scripting to schedule jobs on Unix, and to upload data files into tables of the oracle database.
„Ï Involved in Performance tuning and testing at mapping level.
„Ï Involved in end user training and support.
