We have an active 13 month old son and I’m scheduled to have a C-section for the birth of our daughter on August 12th. We are seeking an experienced high-quality mother’s helper/nanny that will be able to care for both children with expected start day beginning of July. For the month of July hours will be 8am – 4pm M-F. After the birth of our daughter hours will be 7am-3pm M-F with additional hours as needed including the possibility of weekends. There’s always room for flexibility. We require someone who has newborn and toddler experience. Good hygiene is very important to us for the care of the baby.
During the month of July I will be in the last stages of my pregnancy and will be home most of the days and am looking for the nanny to care for our son including feeding (clean up afterwards), handling all diaper and clothe changes, bathing and putting him down for naps. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting down on the floor reading, playing games with him and gentle positive disciplining, encouraging creativity is a must. While he’s napping or playing on his own or while I’m spending time with him, the nanny will straighten up the kitchen (dishes, bottles, sweeping daily) and play area plus any laundry or other projects as requested. We expect the nanny to be proactive and helpful around the house. This isn't a housekeeping position but we expect the nanny and home to be neat and organized.
During my post-partum recovery, we would like the nanny to assist in bringing the baby to the mother for breastfeeding, handling all diaper changes, burping, and getting the baby back to sleep. The priorities will be to care for the children and when time permitted, address the expected household duties
