The medical faculty is founded in 1956. Training students from foreign countries started in 1961. English has been the medium of instruction for foreign students, since 1996.
Three hundred lecturers are certified to teach in English. Text books and study guides written by the professors are published for students.
• Four thousand students study at CSMU including 1530 students from 40 countries.
• Foreign students can continue their education in post graduate courses.
• Doctors graduated from CSMU are working in more than 100 countries.
• Every foreign student receives an international IES certificate that is recognized in almost all the countries in the world while seeking employment.
Doctors in the following specialties are trained at CSMU:
• General Medicine (6 years full time)
• Pediatrics (6 years full time)
• Dentistry (5 years full time)
Important:
The University operates modular credit system that meets the Bologna requirements.
Junior students are trained in groups of 7-9 persons and senior ones in groups of 6-7 persons. All subject of the curriculum are provided with curriculum-based materials on medical education. Lectures are accompanied by multimedia presentations and educational films.
