India’s Definitive Design Week is back again with showcases from best decor brands along with eminent speakers from India and abroad. The exhibition also helps create a new generation of creative and business-based talent factories that help fuel the design economy of the country. India Design ID recognises and celebrates designers and creativity from diverse disciplines in designing ¬– from product to interiors, architecture to conservation and installation to lighting.
The event will flag off on 11th February, 2017 with off-site activities across the design districts of the city, culminating with the main event at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla on the weekend of 16th-19th February 2017.
It comprises of three verticals –ID Exhibit, ID Symposium and ID Satellite. This collaboration will bring together the design community to share their experiences, knowledge and aesthetics through exhibitions, installations and discussions.
i. ID Exhibit (16 -19 Feb): The 4-day long showcase presents a good mix of over 100 established and upcoming designers and brands unveiling new designs and collections to the trade and general visitors. High-end brands and creatives will present collections through individual booths, trend galleries and installations; plus a curated montage of young talent.
ii. ID Symposium (16 - 18 Feb): Masters of Design from all over the world come together under a roof to hold a series of presentations and discussions. While seeking to inspire the design fraternity in India, it also offers a networking opportunity for delegates to exchange ideas and build relationships within the industry. ID Symposium 2017 will feature eminent speakers like Alberto Alessi, Sou Fujimoto, Amit Syngle, Ashiesh Shah, Deepikka Jindal, Humberto Campana, Kaif Faquih, Alberto Meda, Raffaella Mangiaroti, Benjamin Hubert, Li Edelkoort, Carlo Ratti Matteo Cibic, to name a few.
iii. ID Satellite (11- 19 Feb): This fun and creative vertical intends to create a new wave of design within eminent design districts of New Delhi. Interesting promotions, installations and events will be held across different venues –transforming the capital into a magnanimous design destination.
