He has been awarded MPhil degrees for Dance and Tourism Management. Currently he is pursuing Phd research in Dance from Hyderabad Central University. He performs Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Andhranatyam, Perini and Traditional Folk. He has performed extensively all over India with many eminent and noted gurus. Vijayapal has a tremendous synthesis of Nrutta (Footwork) and Abhinaya (Facial and Body Expressions) which pervades all the aspects of his dance-technique. His effortless footwork, brisk movements and sculpturesque figure received accolades from one and all. He took part in major dance festivals, cultural and social events, organizations etc., He has choreographed various dance items and songs.
