UTSAV MUSIC celebrates Unity in Diversity of our nation India, rich varied and spectacular in its various art forms, culture, traditions, languages, rituals and spirituality through a unique two hour dance show titled COLOURS OF INDIA for YAGNARAMAN JULY FEST 2014. The show will be a bouquet of some of the beautiful classical dance styles - Bharatanatyam and Contemporary by actor Rukmini, Vilasini Natyam by Purva Dhanashree, Kathak by Roopa Ravindran, Odissi by Vandana Supriya and Kathakali-Streevesham by Prabal Gupta. The finale would be the coming together of all these artistes in the evergreen melody "Maithreem Bhajatha" made popular by M S Subbulakshmi. Maithreem Bhajatha is a benediction composed in Sanskrit by Paramacharya of Kanchi to be sung in the U.N and dealt about universal brotherhood and peace as enshrined by the Sanathana Dharma.
