GANGA LAHARI - a solo dance drama
A unique depiction of River Ganga in different facets of life - as a lover, a wife, a mother and as an auspicious symbol for
thousands of people. There are a myriad of examples in Hindu Mythology where folks from heaven come to earth as a result of
curse but Ganga is the only person who stays back on the Earth and continues to be worshipped by the people. All along the
presentation, you will see how Ganga is tied down by various situations and how she frees herself. The lyrics are inspired
by the works of greats like Aadikavi Vaalmiki, Acharya Shankara, Kaalidasa and Pandita Jagannatha Kavi.
