World Music Institute presents Rahul Acharya and Vidhya Subramanian in DANCING THE GODS in a double bill for the first day of their festival. Rahul Acharya brings a chiseled masculinity to the quintessentially feminine Odissi and Vidhya Subramanian is a bold interpreter of the classically paradigmatic Bharatanatyam. Prior to the show there will be an onstage lecture-performance on ‘The Music of Indian Dance’ by dancer/storyteller Rajika Puri (also Co-curator for the festival).
