The NATYA BALLET DANCE FESTIVAL in association with Sangeet Natak Akademi features 3 performances, 4 talks and 5 lec-dems. The festival aims to devise multiple ways of exploring and experiencing the varied dance vocabulary of the Indian Subcontinent. The three day festival will host performances, conferences, lecture demonstrations & presentations showcasing established artists as well as ancient and little known dance forms that were precursors to dance as we see it today.
- Dec 1, 7pm at Kamani Auditorium: NIRVANA, an Odissi ballet on Gautam Buddha choreographed by Aniruddha Das and Nibedita Mohapatra
- Dec 2, 7pm at LTG Auditorium: WIDENING CIRCLES by Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company
- Dec 3, 7pm: ETERNAL EMBRACE by Astad Deboo, Meghdoot 1
- Dec 2 & 3: DANCE DISCOURSES, 10am – 6pm at Meghdoot complex, SNA: Anita Ratnam, Aruna Mohanty, Ashish Khokar, Bijoy Sahoo, Gowri Ramnarayan, Sashadhar Acharya, Helen Acharya, Lubna Mariam, Mandeep Raikhy, Ratnottama Sengupta, Suresh Kaliyath, Sadanand Menon, Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts.
