| Who killed Arushi Talwar? Over the last few days the mystery surrounding her murder has deepened further. First the police suspected her family servant, Hemraj, but he too was found murdered.
Now the police are looking at the involvement of a close relative or of a former servant. The police are probing the role of servants who had worked in the house in the past. They are also extensively questioning close relatives of the murdered DPS school teenager, Arushi Talwar, as well as her parents.
Sources say Arushi and the domestic help Hemraj were killed by a surgical equipment. Their postmortem report —available with CNN-IBN — shows that both were killed by the same weapon and at around the same time.
Meanwhile, the police are still being accused of carrying out a shoddy probe. It's now come to light that someone had thrown the blood-soaked mattress and bed sheet on which Arushi's body was found on Friday on to the terrace of a neighbouring flat.
It would have taken at least two persons to carry the mattress there and those who carried it up must have seen the bloated body of Hemraj as well.
It was earlier suspected that the Talwars' domestic help, Hemraj, had murdered the DPS student.
However, on Friday in a sensational twist, Hemraj's dead body was found on terrace of the residence — something the police had completely missed when they went there to probe Aarushi's murder.
Ample Evidence
Police claim to have "ample evidence" that Arushi was killed by someone who had worked in the Talwar's home before.
"We have got more than enough evidence, ample proof that there is involvement of domestic help as the entire process of entry and murder proves the person was very well conversant with the topography of the Talwar house", Senior Superintendent of Police, A Satish Ganesh, was quoted by news agency PTI as saying.
